Marvel Snap will expand with the next major update and space-themed season. In addition to adding more than a dozen new, rare, and powerful cards. Developer Second Dinner plans to add a previously announced token shop to the game.
Allowing players to focus on grinding for specific cards they want to unlock. It also explains how it will reward players. Who has already progressed through the game and missed the opportunity to earn tokens?
Everyone and their friend seems to be playing and talking about Marvel Snap these days. It’s understandable why. The free-to-play card battler has been consuming my life lately, thanks to colorful cards featuring. Marvel characters and creatures, 12 small decks, and super-fast matching that takes only six turns.
Random Zones
The random zones make the matchups so different and exciting every time I play. But even with random zones and card unlocks, some decks and strategies have been gaining popularity lately. So with 16 powerful new cards and a whole new way to unlock them, it’s a good time to change things up.
Marvel Snap developer Second Dinner announced yesterday that it would introduce several. New cards to the game through its upcoming season, “The Power Cosmic.” The big bad Thanos is coming with all of the Infinity Stones, making this one of the most interesting and complex cards in the game to date. She-Hulk, the successful Disney+ show, will also be coming to Snap for its next season, which begins on December 6.
Once the patch is applied, the new cards will be divided into two new series, or what many players call “pools.” These new pools are very rare, with Pool 5 cards such as Thanos and Galactus being 10 times rarer than Pool 4 (these are already much rarer to find in random drops than the previous pools).
However, you don’t need to have unlocked all of Pool 3 to start finding and unlocking Pool 4 and 5 cards. And they will also be in the token store, which players can grind for when it opens in the next patch.
Pool 4 Cards/Series
- She-Hulk (6/10) – Costs 1 less for each unspent energy from the previous turn.
- Absorbing Man (4/3) – On Reveal. If the last card you played had the On Reveal ability, this card copies it.
- Luke Cage (2/1) – Ongoing. Your card is never reduced in power.
- Agent Coulson (3/4) – On Reveal: Put a random 4 and 5 cost card into your hand.
- Helicarrier (6/10) – When you discard this from your hand, add 3 random cards to your hand.
- M’Baku(1/2) – If this is in your deck at the end of the game, jump to a random location.
- Atuma(4/10) – If there are other cards at the end of the turn, destroy this.
- Orca(6/9) – Ongoing. +5 power if this is the only card here.
- Titania(1/5) – When any card is played at this location, this card is replaced face-down.
- Mariah Hill (2/3) – When activated. Add a random 1-cost card to your hand.
Second Dinner also elaborated on the “Token Shop” previously announced via the official Discord server.
Beginning with the next patch, players will earn tokens from the Collection Progression Pass when they reach Collection Rank 500. These tokens can be used in the soon-to-be-added Token Shop, where cards you don’t have that rotate every 8 hours will randomly appear; if there is a card you really want, such as Dr. Doom or Venom, and you have the token, you can use it to get that card on the spot Marvel Snap allows you to lock the store and earn as many tokens as you want to purchase the cards you want.
Given Pice of the Marvel Snap Cards
Players will now receive a cohesive number of tokens when they log in for the first time after the patch. How many you get depends on your collection level.
Given the price of the cards in Pool 3 at 1000 tokens, Pool 4 at 3000 tokens, and Pool 5 at 6000 tokens, even low-level players will be able to get at least one card from the store.
Even if you haven’t reached 500 yet, Second Dinner says you can still get tokens even if your collection level is 500. Another example of how weirdly awesome Marvel Snap is compared to many other free-to-play mobile games.
The next season of Marvel Snap begins on December 6, and the next big patch adding a token store and new cards should be released at the same time. There’s still time to get all the rewards from this current Wakanda- and Black Panther-themed season!
