The Battlefield 2042 update 2.0 is now available

We have enjoyed our time with you all while playing Season 1 Battlefield 2042 update. We look forward to exploring new maps, getting to know our new specialists, and playing on new hardware.

On September 13, Battlefield 2042 update 2.0.1 was released with several bug fixes. Including adjustments to Specialist Paik’s EMG-X scanner.

The Battlefield 2042 update 2.0.1 was released on September 13, bringing a number of minor improvements to the multiplayer mode for the game.

The hotfix addresses several recent minor glitches, particularly about Specialist Paik’s enemy detection capability EMG-X Scanner.

What other changes/improvements are in update 2.0.0?

The new home screen gives you an overview of all available game modes.
Rush is back as an always-available game mode.
Further balancing of the helicopter
Headshot multipliers for assault rifles and submachine guns have been adjusted.
In Breakthrough and Rush, you will automatically switch to the next map after playing one round with both Attacker and Defender after EoR.
Custom Conquest has been added to the Battlefield Portal Builder as a new Conquest game mode, adding capture point customization options and additional logic options in the rules editor.

When can I start playing?

Season 1 will end on August 30 at 08:00 UTC, and update #2.0.0 will be available. Season 2 content will be available on the same day at noon UTC.

When Season 2 becomes playable, you can jump right into Stranded, a new map available from the 24/7 playlist for both Conquest and Breakthrough. You can also begin your journey to unlock Battle Pass rewards, including a new specialist, Crawford, and new weapons, vehicles, and gadgets.

What is the next game update?

The next game update is currently being coordinated for release at the end of September or early October. In addition to further fixes and changes, it will include a revamped version, the in-world vehicle Polaris RZR, and new Vault Weapons for All-Out Warfare.

This hotfix also includes several minor changes. Weapon blurring no longer occurs when switching from a secondary weapon to firing the new Avancy or AM40. The red container issue on board the new Stranded map has been fixed. As well as the repeated activation of the Interact button.

Update 2.0.1 will be available on September 13 at 1:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time / 4:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time / 9:00 a.m. Japan time.
