This was the first rumor last summer when the network announced the possibility of landing a killer Instict II Xbox X. The first rumor seems to find partial confirmation.
Assuming hope to fighting game fans is the official Twitter account of Code Mysticism. The software company specializes in re-proposing classic video games with a modern key. Has created a blog dedicated to Twitter and its apparently Killer Instinct.
The fixture provided at the bottom of the news item depicts a casing from the series. In the background of the image, however, a web address can be seen.
Killer Instinct was first released in arcades in 1994, followed by the SNES and Game Boy. Since then, two more Killer Instinct games have been released, the last of which was released exclusively on Xbox in 2013.
Official Announcement from Microsoft
Recently, rumors have been flying around about a new Killer Instinct game. But there has been no official announcement from Microsoft on the matter.
Once you reach the art gallery’s hidden portal, you are confronted with a mysterious countdown. Which, in conjunction with Code Mystics, asks you to wait for about 40 hours to pass. And beyond that should be an announcement about the future of the “Killer Instict” series.
To be precise, the countdown is scheduled to reach zero at midnight on Thursday, December 1, through Saturday, December 2, 2022.
Most likely, the “NEOGEO Pocket Color selection,” “Fatal Fury,” “First Contact,” “Samurai Showdown! First Contact,” “Samurai Showdown! 2,” and “Atari. FlashBlack Classics,” and other remastered di killer installments are still on display.
Rumors in recent months have suggested that Namco Bandai is involved in the revival of Killer Instict. But we will have to wait a few hours to learn more.
