Hans Sama officially leaves Liquid Honda

League of Legends Worlds 2022 has yet to begin, but roster shuffling within the community has already begun. The biggest of these appears to be the departure of star ADC Hans Sama officially from Team Liquid.

Team Liquid formed a super team for the 2022 preseason, and Hans Sama was part of it. However, this team combination did not work out, and the team did not qualify for the 2022 World. As a result, there were several changes to the roster, and Hans Sama appears to have been the first domino to fall.

Hans Sama officially Team Liquid Honda

Hans Sama officially is no longer a part of Team Liquid Honda. It was officially announced on Monday, September 19, when the Team Liquid League of Legends Twitter account said goodbye to the player and thanked him for his service to the team during the 2022 LCS season. A video was tweeted.

French bottom trainer signed with Team Liquid Honda from Rogue after the 2021 season. When he arrived in Japan, he was seen as one of the best players in his position in Europe.

However, his time in North America was nothing short of a disappointment. Coupled with a down year for supporting CoreJJ, he was not seen as one of the top 3 players in his position. He was not aggressive in the lanes and did not see the team fight he had seen the previous year.

His stats at the 2022 LCS Summer Split seem to confirm that observation. He was 6th in kills, 5th in deaths, 2nd in assists, 4th in KDA, and 9th in kill participation. He did not finish kills, did not participate in team fights, and seemed to be protecting his scoreline instead of fighting with his team.

What will happen to Hans Sama in the future?

Hans Sama officially next steps have probably already begun as we speak. He will not be able to sign with a new team until after the World Championships final on November 8.

If this deal is true, Hans Sama will not participate in international competitions.

He could also join the LEC team during the 2023 season; Team Vitality may sign him to replace Carzzy, who had a disappointing season. More possibilities are SK Gaming, Team BDS, or Astralis.

Note that he may not want to go to these three teams, as they are at the bottom of the standings and do not have much of a chance next season.

When this announcement was made, it exploded, and the community began discussing Hans Sama officially plans. Rumors and leaks suggest he may return to the League of Legends LEC.

Of course, this is still early, as the LEC may change a bit next year. As fans may know, Misfits Gaming has relinquished its spot to Heretics. However, rumors exist that Karmine Corp may also try to get into LEC.

League of Legends LEC

Current reports say Karmine Corp’s star ADC, Rekkles, maybe join Heretics and return to the League of Legends LEC. Therefore, Karmine Corp needs a new player for the position, and Hans Sama is probably on the shortlist.

The remaining members of Team Liquid Honda are unknown. There are rumors that CoreJJ will be leaving along with Hans Sama, but no announcement has yet been made at the time of writing. The suspected remaining players on the team are Santorin and either Bwipo or Bjergsen, but it is not 100% clear which is more likely.

If we had to guess, we would say that Eyla and Yeon were pulled from the Team Liquid Honda Academy team to stay in the bottom lane, Santorin from the Jungle, Tenacity from 100 Thieves Academy to stay in the top lane, and Bjergsen from the middle lane in his second season. Bjergsen will stay in the middle lane for a second season.

Of course, what the team will do next is pure speculation, nothing has been leaked or announced, and for fans of the fourth-ranked team, big changes are likely, and maybe one of the team’s mainstays will be playing elsewhere in 2023. However, time will tell, and nothing is set in stone.
