The flashbang grenades in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 are apparently too blinding for some players, and they want to borrow a feature from Battlefield 2042: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s flashbangs. The bright white light covers the entire screen and dazzles players in-game and in real life.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the latest installment in the most popular first-person shooter franchise, features various weapons and gadgets. These include grenades ranging from lethal flag grenades to tactical flashbangs and smoke grenades; using flag grenades in Modern Warfare 2 can achieve ridiculous kills and usually allows players to do so without exposing themselves to damage without exposing themselves. Tactical grenades are usually used to set up gun kills or for defensive play.

Flashbangs are commonly used tactical grenades in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but some players are fed up with their blinding white light. These players have asked Infinity Ward to mimic how grenades are handled in Battlefield 2042. In a video posted on the Modern Warfare 2 subreddit by player Johnny Tesla, a video of a Battlefield 2042 flashbang grenade is shown.
The flashbang grenad
First, the player throws the flashbang grenade a short distance, and it explodes, filling the screen with a blinding light that disappears after a few seconds. Then, in the accessibility settings, the concussion effect is changed to dark. After changing the setting, throw another grenade, and the screen goes dark this time.

Dark mode has become quite popular as a setting that people can use in social media apps, websites, e-reader apps, etc. Adding it as an accessibility option for “Battlefield” games is a great move, and players would obviously be happy if “Modern Warfare 2” added a similar feature. However, with the recent release of “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” Season 01 Reloaded, it may be a little while before Infinity Ward can add such a new feature to the game.
A major benefit of Flashbang’s dark mode is that it will be more accessible to those who are sensitive to bright light. Players of Modern Warfare 2 recently suggested improvements to the calling card, and the feedback for Flashbang posted on Reddit shows that the fanbase is passionate about the game. If the developers consider some of the fan suggestions, they could build a lot of goodwill, and the game could be greatly improved.
