Forspoken Story
After a mysterious transfer from New York, Frey Holland is trapped in the breathtakingly beautiful country of Asia. With a mysterious sensory bracelet wrapped around his arm forspoken, Frey discovers the ability to cast powerful spells and
magic to navigate the vastness of Asia. Frey names his new golden companion “Cuff” and starts a journey to find his home.
Eventually, Frey learns that this beautiful land once thrived under the rule of a benevolent matriarchal queen called Tantus. As a result, animals became beasts, humans became monsters, and the lush landscape was transformed into four dangerous realms. The Tantas rule as insane and evil sorcerers at the heart of their destroyed domain.

Against this backdrop, Frey reluctantly agrees to help Asya’s citizens; the only hope left for them. Frey’s journey in this strange and dangerous land will lead her into the heart of corruption, battling monstrous creatures, confronting powerful Tantas, and revealing secrets that will awaken something within.
What is Forspoken’s release date?
According to a recent postponement announcement, “Forspoken” will now be released on January 24, 2023. This is the game’s second postponement, following the announcement earlier this year that the original May 2022 release date had been pushed back to October.
Who is the main character in Forspoken?
The main character in Forspoken is Frey Holland, played by actor Ella Balinska. In the released trailer, Balinska says she is “a young woman living in a beautiful but threatening world.” Balinska also says that Frey is a character she “immediately connects with” and that she did both motion capture and voice work for “Forspoken.”
That menacing world is doubly important because Frey is a “stern yet street-smart young woman” who is unexpectedly transported from New York City to the nightmarish fantasy world of Assia. Thankfully, she enters this world and discovers a magical ability. This ability is necessary for her fight against the “twisted, all-powerful female chief” called Tanta, who rules Assia.
Who is involved in “Forspoken”?
Although the game is from Luminous Productions, we have hired some notable talent to write the script. We have Star Wars writer (and PC Gamer editor) Gary Whitta, Naughty Dog veteran Amy Hennig, Allison Rymer and Todd Stashwick. Square Enix has a big game in the store, so expect a story-driven adventure.
