GTA 6: What We Know About Rockstar’s Next Crime Adventure

After years of speculation and rumors, “GTA 6” became much more realistic in February 2022, when Rockstar finally confirmed that they were working on the next “GTA” game. in September, a large amount of gameplay footage of the game in development was leaked. The more general rumors circulated throughout the year seemed to confirm some of them. It may still be a ways off, but “GTA 6” is a work in progress.

The long-awaited sequel to one of the most successful games of all time has a lot to live up to, and while “GTA 5” sold nearly 110 million copies and crashed the Epic Game Store when it was given away for free each week, there’s no telling what kind of game the sequel will be and when we might get it. We have yet to hear exactly what the sequel will be and when it will be available.

But rumors and leaks have given us a rough idea of what we can expect from the next installment in the series. From the large amount of footage leaked in September, it appears that “GTA 6” will once again feature multiple protagonists, just like “GTA 5”. It also appears that the Vice City location will make an appearance.

However, Everything written here is worth taking with a grain of salt, including leaked information that Rockstar has acknowledged as authentic. The “GTA 6” currently in development may be very different from the “GTA 6” we will eventually play. However, if you’re curious about rumors, release dates, and setting the stage, this list of “GTA 6” details should give you a decent idea of what is currently known and speculated.

It seems that the leaked footage spree is still going on, but unless you are interested in analyzing debugging footage, you won’t miss much. Taking what we’ve seen so far together, this is indeed a “GTA” game. But this is all old footage, and it seems to be internal development, not a sneak peek at the final polished product. Given how iterative a game development process is, it probably doesn’t exist yet.

Here’s what we can expect from the launch version of GTA 6

Two playable characters. They are called Lucia and Jason and are most likely the “Bonnie and Clyde-inspired” crime duo mentioned in past rumors.
Vice City, Some of the footage includes a modern rail car labeled “Vice City Metro,” making the rumor of a return to a fictional Florida seem likely.

Set in the present day, At least one pedestrian with a smartphone has been spotted, seemingly debunking a small rumor about the possibility of the film being set in the 80s.

Why we don,t know until the release date

Nevertheless, other features from the video, such as Lucia robbing a waffle shop, dialogue options for playable characters, characters that move and crawl while prone, and a message system called “WhatUp!”, which Rockstar has chosen to release in GTA 6 should be taken as subject to change until Rockstar chooses to release GTA 6.

It is quite impossible to guess the exact date at this stage, but we may be able to identify at least one year.

When Take-Two Interactive announced its acquisition of mobile gaming company Zynga, the press release also included a section entitled “Strategic Rationale and Creation of Shareholder Value.” It stated, “Going forward, the combined company is expected to achieve Take-Two’s three-year, fiscal 2021 through fiscal 2024, . . is expected to achieve a compound annual growth rate of 14%,” it stated.

According to an analyst at investment banking firm Jefferies, quoted by Stephen Totilo of Axios, “There are a handful of titles that can give management the confidence to issue such strong guidance, and we expect to see at We believe there is at least one Rockstar IP that will be released by FY24.” This was followed up with a quote from Cowen research analyst Doug Creutz, who thinks it points to “a strong likelihood of a GTA 6 release in FY24.” If true, the release date for Grand Theft Auto 6 could be between early April 2023 and the end of March 2024.

In July 2021, Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson posted a YouTube video predicting that GTA 6 would be released in 2024 or 2025, which reporter Jason Schreier followed up on Twitter with, “Tom Henderson backed it up by saying, “Everything he said about the game is consistent with what I’ve heard. The full video can be viewed below.

Taken together, these rumors suggest a 2024 or 2025 release. Still, the delay of “GTA 6” to a further year may be an effort by Rockstar to counter the culture of piracy that has plagued past releases, especially in the final stages of development of “Red Dead Redemption 2” Perhaps.

Recently, however, signs have emerged that the development of “GTA 6” is regaining momentum, as a recent statement from Rockstar regarding the completion of a major thematic update for Red Dead Online indicates that the company is “working hard to ensure that the Grand Theft Auto series The company mentions that the modification of its live service strategy was necessary because the company is “steadily moving more development resources toward the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto series.

Will GTA Vi come to PC?

It’s a pretty solid bet. Rockstar’s past with PC versions has been a bit rocky, but the immense popularity of the PC versions of “GTA 5” and “Red Dead Redemption 2” is a big reason why Rockstar is taking this platform seriously.

And given the release of Rockstar Games Launcher on PC in 2019, it seems that Rockstar feels the same way. It’s hard to imagine the studio releasing its game launcher if it doesn’t plan to host future games there, including the envisioned “GTA 6”. That said, there will likely be a gap between the console and PC releases of “GTA 6”; “GTA 5” took a year and a half to get to the PC version, and the gap for “RDR2” was almost a year.

What will the GTA 6 setting be?

It all flows out of the city and decade have chosen by Rockstar, and if “GTA 5” is returning to Los Angeles, it could mean a possible return to “Vice City,” where leaked information from September 2022 shows a train car exiting with the words “Vice City Metro” on it. Character is pictured, making this theory seem increasingly likely.

What other GTA 6 rumors out there?

While we await the release of “GTA 6,” a number of rumors have been floating around, some of them quite credible: while The Know, citing inside sources, has put GTA 6’s release date at 2021-2022, this rumor suggests that the new game will take place between Vice City and South America The Comic Book appears to have credited a deleted anonymous post on Pastebin that said GTA 6 would feature multiple major cities connected by a vast expanse of land that includes smaller towns. In this version, players will start out as small crooks and eventually run a drug trafficking criminal organization.

And, of course, there is a mountain of questionable rumors that are only worth mentioning as a curiosity. For example, a well-known gossip article in Christian Today, a well-known gaming industry publication, includes a theory that the game takes place in London in the 1960s and allows for time travel.

Rumors

Rumors from July 2021 also noted that GTA 6 would return to Vice City. These claims stated that GTA 6 would take place in a modern version of the series analog for Miami. These same predictions also stated that GTA 6’s maps would evolve or expand over time, possibly through DLC or live game updates. Miami’s prediction was echoed by other sources, as reported by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier.

In a 2013 interview with Develop, Rockstar North president Leslie Benzies referred to Rockstar’s three preferred GTA cities and said

Speaking of old cities in GTA, a few years ago, a developer profile at Rockstar featured a scene from Liberty City, a mock-up made with the GTA 5 engine. This may have been a technical test or a scene from some scrapped single-player DLC, but Rockstar once talked about having all the cities in one mega-game. That sounds outrageously ambitious, but maybe Rockstar has the resources to make it happen.

Will there be a GTA 6 online?

The online version of “Los Santos” in “GTA 5” has not yet run out of gas. Rockstar is still regularly adding new activities, content, and events to its large multiplayer world, and given that “GTA 4,” “GTA 5,” and “Red Dead Redemption” both had online servers, “GTA 6” feels like a necessity. Seems like a necessity for “GTA 6”.

Take-Two filed for a patent that could be GTA 6 related

In early 2021, we learned of a patent filed by Take-Two called “System And Method For Virtual Navigation In A Gaming Environment,” which relates to the simulation of character pathfinding in a large outdoor environment. There is no guarantee that this is related to the development of GTA 6, but it was attributed to a Rockstar developer. If this is related to the development of the next GTA, it most likely means that Rockstar is planning major improvements to the simulation behavior in the next open-world city.

GTA 6 will probably have a female protagonist

Some more credible rumors have emerged: as reported by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, “GTA 6” will feature a playable female protagonist for the first time in series history; according to Schreier, a Latino player character is one-half of a Bonnie and Clyde-esque crime duo, and sources at Axios say that they originally envisioned four playable protagonists and three cities, which is clearly a reduction in the size of the game.

In this connection, Schreier also reported that, in parallel with the broader commitment to political considerations at Rockstar, GTA developers are being more careful in choosing their targets for satire; Schreier said that in “GTA 6,” developers have been more careful to avoid using marginalized Schreier said that in “GTA 6,” the developers want to avoid using marginalized people as punching bags and to set themselves apart from the series, which is all about “beating people up.

This report is supported by a development video leaked in September, which shows a character called Lucia and a character called Jason. They will very likely be the lead crime duo.
