After years of speculation and rumors, “GTA 6” became much more realistic in February 2022, when Rockstar finally confirmed that they were working on the next “GTA” game. in September, a large amount of gameplay footage of the game in development was leaked. The more general rumors circulated throughout the year seemed to confirm some of them. It may still be a ways off, but “GTA 6” is a work in progress.
The long-awaited sequel to one of the most successful games of all time has a lot to live up to, and while “GTA 5” sold nearly 110 million copies and crashed the Epic Game Store when it was given away for free each week, there’s no telling what kind of game the sequel will be and when we might get it. We have yet to hear exactly what the sequel will be and when it will be available.
But rumors and leaks have given us a rough idea of what we can expect from the next installment in the series. From the large amount of footage leaked in September, it appears that “GTA 6” will once again feature multiple protagonists, just like “GTA 5”. It also appears that the Vice City location will make an appearance.
However, Everything written here is worth taking with a grain of salt, including leaked information that Rockstar has acknowledged as authentic. The “GTA 6” currently in development may be very different from the “GTA 6” we will eventually play. What other GTA 6 rumors out there?
While we await the release of “GTA 6,” a number of rumors have been floating around, some of them quite credible: while The Know, citing inside sources, has put GTA 6’s release date at 2021-2022, this rumor suggests that the new game will take place between Vice City and South America The Comic Book appears to have credited a deleted anonymous post on Pastebin that said GTA 6 would feature multiple major cities connected by a vast expanse of land that includes smaller towns. In this version, players will start out as small crooks and eventually run a drug trafficking criminal organization.
And, of course, there is a mountain of questionable rumors that are only worth mentioning as a curiosity. For example, a well-known gossip article in Christian Today, a well-known gaming industry publication, includes a theory that the game takes place in London in the 1960s and allows for time travel.

Rumors from July 2021 also noted that GTA 6 would return to Vice City. These claims stated that GTA 6 would take place in a modern version of the series analog for Miami. These same predictions also stated that GTA 6’s maps would evolve or expand over time, possibly through DLC or live game updates. Miami’s prediction was echoed by other sources, as reported by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier.
