UFC Fight Night Results, Josh Emmett Dominates Calvin Cutter,

Fans in Austin, Texas, were intoxicated by a record eight knockouts heading into the UFC Fight Night featherweight main event between Calvin Kattar and Josh Emmett. And they were not disappointed, as Kattar and Emmett fought a bloody tactical battle for five rounds, with Emmett winning by a split decision.

The bout was a battle of Kattar’s long, straight shots and Emmett’s explosive, looping power shots. Right from the start of the match, it was clear that the player who could lead the forward engagement would do the more effective job.

Emmett dominated the first two rounds, landing overhand rights and left hooks to the body that repeatedly left Kattar on the back foot, falling against the cage.

In the second half, Kattar seemed to make the necessary adjustments, cutting Emmett’s left eye deep with a stiff jab and a step-in elbow. Emmett, however, continued his losing streak, causing Kattar’s nose to bleed and his eye to swell heavily.
