Newly leaked information from the Phantom of Illusion suggests that the RPG game’s trading card game will not be released until later than previously leaked information.
New “Genshin Impact” leaked information sheds more light on a trading card game that is said to be released after “Genshin Impact 3.0” is finished. The rumor comes from a user on the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor Discord server (via Reddit), known for leaked information from the “Genshin Impact” beta, with the leaker describing the information as “breadcrumbs” left over from other files. They believe the Genshin Impact trading card game will most likely be released after Genshin Impact 3.1, but they do not say why.
The game is said to be called Genius Invocation. It will continue the Genshin tradition of replacing the “C” with a “K.” According to a new leak, you can customize your deck cover and see a sort of catalog listing all the Genius Invocation players in Teyvat. This list is in the Deck Builder gadget you presumably get when you get your first deck, and all the characters you can challenge are NPCs.
Whether you can play against Diluc or Itto remains to be seen, but it looks like at least some of the games will be played at The Cat’s Tail, Diona’s bar in Mondstadt; the WFP leak said that you could invite opponents using the board outside the bar. It said. Teiwert has at least one tavern in each major city, and in the case of Inazuma, a teahouse, but for now, it looks like the focus will be on the Mondstadt area, at least initially.
The current rumor is that “Phantom Impact” 3.1 will feature some festivals centered around Mondstadt, and WFP leakers believe that “Summoning the Genius” will appear after 3.1. Still, at least we may get some hints during the festival.
The next big update will feature new characters, so look at our cover story on the three new characters coming in the 3.1 updates: Cyano, Nilou, and Candace.
