100 Thieves coach Sean ‘sgares’ Gares told Run it Back in an interview that the more Valorant progresses, the more having a “flasher” agent is overrated. Still, other Valorant Champions coaches have a different opinion.

As Valorant introduces new agents and maps, more meta-dominating abilities will be introduced into the game. Flash has been a staple in tactical FPS titles and Valorant, but according to sgares in an interview with Run it Back, the pro side may not need flash Agents in the future.

“I think the need for a ‘flash’ Agent is becoming overrated as this game progresses,” sgares told Run it Back. “There are many ways to push people out of angles in this game, not just using flash.

The former CS: GO pro was responding to a question about the no-flash-agent configuration in Pearl that 100 Thieves made against Fnatic in the first match of the Valorant Champions Group Stage. 100 Thieves won that map 13- 10 to win that map.
