Warframe Cross-Play may have started as a relatively focused title, with space ninjas tearing through enemies in a fairly confined environment. Still, developer Digital Extremes is always creating something new. New locations, Warframe, and entirely new gameplay mechanics have been added, including space combat and an open world.
But what fans have been clamoring for is cross-play and cross-save functionality. The good news is that cross-play is finally a reality, as well as a small update to Warframe’s cross-saves. Here’s everything we know about Warframe’s cross-play and cross-save offerings from Digital Extremes.
Warframe Cross-Play. How to play across PlayStation, Xbox, Switch & PC
As of December 2, 2022, Warframe has cross-play capabilities. After much testing on various platforms, Digital Extremes has finally rolled out this feature across PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.

How to link your platform
You can link your accounts by going to the login page on the Digital Extremes website. Once logged in, you can link your account (and Twitch Prime) to access your friend list across platforms.
How to Enable Cross-Play
To turn Warframe Cross-Play on or off, head to the options menu and look for the option at the bottom of the page.
How to become a friend
You can party with friends using Squad matchmaking, so you can join or invite them to join your teammates just as if you were on the same platform.

You can meet them at relays or dojos. However, according to the developer, there is a problem when you head to the dojo with a cross-platform squad, and you can work around it by inviting players already in the dojo.
“Everyone is assigned a numeric suffix to make it easier to identify players with the same name on different platforms. This suffix is only needed when inviting a player with the same name to join a squad or chatting with a player with the same name. The suffix can be viewed anytime in the game menu under Profile.

Unfortunately, there are no cross-progressions or cross-saves yet. Therefore, registration of Warframe and weapons is limited to where you play.
However, Digital Extremes is working on this issue and commented
“Cross-platform saves are not currently available, but as development of cross-platform play progresses, we will keep the community informed about when they can participate in cross-platform saves.”
